The Sounds of Hell. Purportedly recorded in Siberia sometime in the 1980s, this recording is an absolute… howl?

T. Rex Day part 12! Mambo Sun. The 1st track from the magnificent Electric Warrior.
T. Rex day! Part 16! “Lofty Skies,” from A Beard of Stars. T. Rex is my favorite band, and I share them with just about everyone I come to know. I showed this song to my current partner Holly, and when Marc sings “We kissed and Criiiiii-Ha-Heuh-Hiiiiiied,” we looked at each other and had a giggle about how silly he sounds.
All this is to say I love how important his art was to him, and how original he was. How many others would go that far in enunciating a word in such a peculiar way to serve the purpose of a song?
T. Rex Day! Part 15! Marc Bolan - The Final Word. A BBC documentary uploaded to YouTube, often said to be the best made about Bolan. It’s in a few parts, but worth it if you’re a super huge fan.
T. Rex Day! Part 14 - Mustang Ford. From their first record My People Were Fair and had Sky in their Hair, but Now They’re Content to Wear Stars on their Brows. Marc always had a preoccupation with singing about cars and women, often interchanging the two. “She’s all put together with alligator leather.” I love the vocal harmonies.
T. Rex Day! Part 13! New York City. A live performance video of the track first heard on Futuristic Dragon. A great little rock and roll boogie. I think it has a lot more power in this performance - played faster, with a less dense arrangement; it brings a lot of focus to the swinging beat.
The option to have people answer this question came up just now, and I would love to hear what you folks have to say when he asks - Did you ever see a woman comin’ out of New York City with a frog in her hand?
T. Rex day! Part 11! Deboraarobed. From Prophets, Seers, Sages & The Angels of the Ages.
Tyrannosaurus Rex in the “Steve Peregrine Took” era. Many have said he was a much better percussionist than Mickey Finn, having focused on incorporating polyrhythms into the songs. Eventually, Marc became fed up with Steve’s drug-fueled lifestyle, and hired Mickey Finn. One of the reasons: Marc thought he was better looking.
T. Rex day part 10! “Electric Slim and the Factory Hen.” A very lush song, on the ballad-heavy Tanx.
T. Rex day part 9! “Ride a White Swan.” The song that skyrocketed the group into the “T. Rexstasy” era.
